Dear presidents of NCWs and Standing Committee members,
Greetings from Jungsook Kim, Seoul, Korea, the president of ICW.
I hope this finds you and your organizations well.
Since being elected as ICW President last June, I have been working together with the new board members to build up and strengthen our ICW organization. Upon returning from the Izmir GA, the Seoul office was opened in early July. We also successfully published our ICW newsletter in September, and are currently reconstructing the ICW website. It is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
In October, I attended the APRC and ECICW Conferences in Melbourne and Luxembourg, respectively. During my visit to Melbourne, I also participated in the NCW Australia Triennial Conference. The ICW board meeting was held in Luxembourg from October 18-20, where we board members made fruitful discussions for the advancement of ICW.
We are now making the next newsletter for the new year, 2016.
We, ICW are preparing the parallel events at the CSW60 with the theme of “Transforming society through women’s participation in political and economic decision-making”. Regarding the delegates to the UNCSW60, you’d better be in a hurry to recommend the delegates, as the deadline is coming soon.
